I wanted to generate additional income for my pension and SSA. I explored many options, and after working at a big box store during the pandemic, I decided to try online avenues.

I took several courses, including one in proofreading, as I was always strong in English. I also completed a Virtual Assistant (VA) course that significantly improved my technical skills and exposed me to various online opportunities and marketers. This experience led me to affiliate marketing. I was determined to be honest and not overstate my results—no claims of buying a mini-mansion with cash after just two hours of work each day!

Like anything, affiliate marketing requires dedication and consistency. I wanted to partner with companies whose products I already used or would be willing to use, as well as organizations and vendors I felt a connection with. To assist me in starting out correctly, I found a couple of free or low-cost programs that covered the language and best practices for affiliate marketing

1. Understand the Basics

Before diving in, it's essential to understand how affiliate marketing works:

  • Affiliates: Individuals or businesses that promote products and earn commissions for sales generated through their referral links.

  • Merchants: Companies that sell products and provide affiliate programs.

  • Affiliate Networks: Platforms that connect affiliates with merchants, providing tracking and payment solutions.

  • 1. **Understand the Basics**

  • Before diving in, it's essential to grasp how affiliate marketing works:

  • - **Affiliates:** Individuals or businesses that promote products and earn commissions on sales generated through their referral links.

  • - **Merchants:** Companies that sell products and provide affiliate programs.

  • - **Affiliate Networks:** Platforms that connect affiliates with merchants, offering tracking and payment solutions.

  • It’s also important to set up payment systems and manage other essential aspects, such as email marketing and your chosen social media platforms, which are crucial for achieving success and ensuring compliance.

One course I took was primarily if you wanted to produce an online course which taught me everything and more about selling online.

This course is now called THE ROADMAP EXCLUSIVE, is if not the OG in affiliate marketing is pretty darn close. It is a MRR or Master Resell Rights course, which means you can resell it for 100% profit. I seriously encourage you to start there. You can find the line in my Stan Store under deniseearns extra

I will be back on Thursday with more info on affiliate marketing.

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY.
